Kalkscheune Popette

Kalkscheune

At the end of the 90s, the Kalkscheune was one of the most important addresses for cabaret, literature, jazz, tango, and pop in Berlin. Pigor and Eichhorn, The Popette Betancor, Cora Frost, Fil and Sharkey, Johann König, Horst Evers, The Tiger Lillies, and many others were coming and going, and decisively influenced Berlin-Mitte's wild era.
From 1999–2001, Ruth Hundsdoerfer booked the artists and parallel to this built the in-house press department. Beyond this, she also produced the CD "Dr. Seltsams Frühschoppen" (With Bov Bjerg, Horst Evers, and others).
